Impact
Youth who participate in puberty and sexual health classes have lower risks of future unintended teen pregnancies and a reduced risk of STD exposure. Taking part in reproductive health classes increases students’ awareness of normal milestones they will experience throughout adolescence and how to manage many of those changes. Self awareness and esteem are boosted, healthy boundaries are encouraged and a feeling of connection to other youth as well as trusted adults is fostered.
High School level classes help teens access information relating to dating, sexuality, safer sex practices, benefits of abstinence, condom and birth control usage, STD testing, clinic service options and creating healthy boundaries.
Nutrition courses connect youth, adults, families, schools and individuals to the many benefits of choosing whole foods and creating a healthy lifestyle.

Parent Info nights
This is a talk given to parents and guardians providing information and insight into what to expect from puberty and adolescence and how to support their child as they navigate through this phase of life. Since puberty can be a challenging time for many parents, this talk is designed to address concerns, guide parents through normal milestones and emotions and provide groundwork for how to communicate with and support their child as they navigate puberty and the many changes this time brings. Community resources, books and websites are all provided.
